The idea looks good, landing page is nice and tidy. Thought about addding a video showing the app being used.

I hate really long sales pages, but perhaps you could write a bit more, explaining WHY it is essential, how it can be used (add some scenarios etc).

If you can get a couple more customer testimonials that'd be good too. Not hundreds, just 2 or 3 more.

I'm not sure whether the typical sales page stuff like, get this free (value $9) works, or the get it for $19 today. I'm speaking personally, but if I see that sort of stuff I always hit the 'back' button. It's a pretty standard format so there must be something in it, I just think it looks scammy.

My intention, IF I was doing it would be to build a brand, smart website, video, FREE report with opt-in, weekly newsletters etc to build a base of people who you can then sell other products or add-ons to.

I would be finding those forums for 'business in asia' and getting involved in them, giving good advice and trying to get some trafic there too.

But, nice idea.

This is a really good idea, I know a few people who are looking for this type of thing. I agree that testimonials would help, and maybe reducing some of the sales hype. I think the price point is good enough to stand out without the need for a $49 crossed out for example, that stuff is a bit cliched now.

I am considering an ebook based muse too, but having trouble figuring out ebook delivery. Which ecommerce tool you are using to deliver the ebook?

Cheers,
Ben

I would suggest considering the lose/win return policy. I'm not sure if that really applies better to a physical product rather than info though.

Benjamin, Thank you for the feedback.
We are using wordpress. But for this type of product (single ebook) there is no need for an ecommerce platform. We use paypal which we created using paypal.

didn't quite understand what you are saying by " I know a few people who are looking for this type of thing.? which type?

For example... Offering a 10% extra check on top of the refund for all returned products. You may increase return rates but you also will most likely sell a lot more product. Experiment with the offer.

Shlomo, thanks for your reply. By this type of thing I mean highly targeted language learning aids. I think there is definitely a good market for these aids to service people in a time-effective way. Too many language courses waste time teaching unecessary breadth so I think you may have hit a good niche here.

I just have one more question for you: Does paypal automatically deliver the ebook for you? If not what is the best way to deliver it?

Thanks,
Alan

The easiest way is to just create a thankyou page in WP or whatever platform you are using. When you set up a paypal button, you have the option of adding a url to redirect the customer to after payment. simply direct to the 'thankyou' page with a download link on it to the product.

If you become a big name with loads of sales, you might need to protect that page with swome security, but where only a little protection is needed, create a little more security by password protecting the pdf. People can always rip your stuff off, so not too much point worrying
