Unhappy HELP! I don't know where to start!

I am a special ed teacher and a mother of 2 children, one with severe autism and cerebral palsy. I have found myself in a major crisis. My only caregiver for my son has decided to move. I am going back to school to get my administrator certificate, but I know in my heart this is not my future. I am a writer, teacher and creative type person. I need to figure out a way to generate income and quick. I cannot return to work in September because I have no one I can trust to care for my child. I have read the book and am working on e-books for parents right now. Any other suggestions? I am totally open to help and ideas.
Thank you,
Christene

Hello Christene !

Yes it is now time for you to find your muse...

Ask yourself some questions :

- What can you do that can change other people's life ?

- What are you good at and what do you enjoy doing in life ?

If some fields/market fall into the answers of these 2 questions, you might have your muse !

I'd say to write about what you know. Maybe you could think about a resource handbook or membership site for parents.

there is a great site for free info about creating and monetizing websites

www.challenge.co

sign up, it's completely free, I've just finished it, they will give you a LOT of great trials, what I would recommend, is that you watch all the videos first, and then take action, so that way you will use more efficiently the software they give you for trial

all the training is made really easy to understand and they take you little by little, I've just created 2 websites using the knowledge there , it's basically the knowledge to create websites about 3rd party products and sell them as an affiliate, so for example amazon will give you 4% of any purchase made through your links and in clickbank you can get 50% or even 75% of the sale through their affiliate program, and earning money trough ads using google adsense

It's a nice thing to do when we are starting and don't have time to create a product for ourselves

another great blog about business creation is

www.smartpassiveincome.com

and

www.my4hours.com

I hope this can help you

I've been at this for a few years now. Hopefully some of the things I've learned could help you. Here's a post I wrote on just that.

Failed Musings / Lessons Learned

I LOVED the four hour work week. I read it at least 4 times but feel it was also the source of one of my biggest follies. It's very weak on marketing. In my opinion if you don't know how to create a compelling offer that converts then you'll be sunk before you even start.

Here's a few marketing resources (more specifically direct response marketing) I've found invaluable...

Scientific Advertising was written nearly 100 years ago but has been the foundation of many of the most successful direct response marketers and entrepreneurs out there. In this book you'll learn the importance of marketing in the success of your business and how to setup marketing so that it sells.

Next, a good cheap book is one by Dan Kennedy, The Ultimate Sales Letter This book is PACKED full of tested examples you can use.

Probably the best help I've found so far has been a program which I cannot find anymore. A friend of mine shared it with me. It was by Rachel Wolfe called Happy Copy Writing.

These resources should help get you started in the right direction. I too took the challenge (three times in a row) They taught me about identifying niche markets. I found the markets they pointed out to me were actually too small to make any living off of.

Next, it was SEO heavy when I took it. I can now command traffic easily but I didn't understand creating a compelling offer (which books should get you started on). Ultimately, SEO in my opinion is too expensive to launch with in terms of time and effort. I'd recommend learning how to buy cheap traffic. With cheap traffic you can test your offers / direct response marketing in a couple days... and move onto something new if it doesn't bite. I spent years developing blogs and building up traffic using SEO which in my opinion looking back was a waste of time.

Maybe they've updated things but ultimately you have to understand marketing before you'll have any success. Otherwise everything you create will either be dumb luck or you'll not get anywhere.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. Sorry I'm kind of rambling on here but I feel looking back #1 in muse creation is creating the compelling offer and understanding the market.
