Default inserting humor into ebooks/info products

Does anybody have any experience hiring others (e.g. elance) to spice up their writing with humor?

It's one thing to write a series of ebooks. It's quite another to have the reader laugh at something on each page and thus be drawn to the next ebook in the series.

I think humor reduces your credibility. Unless you are writing a book about comedy, in which being funny is a forgone conclusion. Hire a copywriter (Web gal is great at it, and although she can't promote herself I can )

I use humor and personality all the time. Makes things interesting and lets your personality shine through. People don't buy products, they buy experiences. If you can make the experience of using your product enjoyable, more people are likely to buy it.

It's the same reason I really push people to use a LOT of media in their products. Plain text is just boring

Cheers

1+ for Adam. People want authenticity or what every one else is buying. I prefer to aim for the first.

I'll have a go at adding some humour for free, if you want.

Awesome.

All I need to do is write something.

Once I've done that, I will contact you.
