Default Testing a seasonal product?

Hello -

I'm looking into licensing a skiing-related product. I would like to test the concept before I go too far, but I'm not sure how to do that (not many people think of skiing during the summer!) If I wait until winter to test, then I doubt there will be time to manufacture the product and still hit the peak ski season.

Does anyone have any ideas? I know there is skiing going on right now in the southern hemisphere, but I'm not sure that would be an apples-to-apples test?

Thanks -
Dan

I have one skiing/snowboard related product in mind myself but the manufacturing price would be too high for me to test right now so I wont even attempt :P

anyway, the skiing seazon in NZ/Australia and countries like Argentina are during the summer on the northern hemisphere, so there are people skiing all the time. Also, people often buy products right before the seazon in order to prepare, as well as after during the sales that follow. actual skiing gear is almost always released in the summer because of the NZ season starting then

I say give it a shot. if you get it ready for the next season and make some money, you can spend your time and money to start up a new muse if yours appears to have an obvious off-season

It seems that your options are either what grudgeh said, or wait.
