Default Can You License an Idea for a Supplement?

I have an idea for a supplement with a very large market potential. There are currently no competing products but competing products would be likely to appear very fast. I want my product to be widely distributed before competing products arrive on the market, so I am considering licensing.

I want to license to a company who sells a somewhat similar supplements, is a market leader, and already has a very large distribution network setup.

Is it possible to licenses an idea for a supplement targeting a certain market? If so, what would I need to do to ensure the idea isn't stolen while trying to license it? Would a non-compete/non-disclosure agreement be enough?

If you can help out, I'll repay you when I'm a multi-millionaire.

That is what everyone says. Now you have nothing to sell. No one buys ideas. They buy results. That should by no means stop your from trying though, but don't let rejection throw you off the 4HWW.

Just one thing though, the energy you expend on selling your idea could be spent in testing the concept and actually selling suppliments, where your chances of success are significantly higher. Tim was only able to sell Brain Quicken after significant success, and the market is dominated by some serious players, but you stand a far better chance of success actually selling than by flogging an idea.

Default Snowboardz

Snowboardz, I am going through the same process. However, I am not looking to license a supplement, I am looking to create one (through outsourcing manufacturing). I just posted a thread looking for reliable supplement manufacturers, so keep an eye on it if you are interested.

Any luck finding a manufcatuer with a low minimum order? If I can't find a licensor I might try to manufacture it myself, but I don't have much to invest at the moment.
