Somewhere on the site, there was an extended bibliography that recommended language learning resources...now I can't find it.

Try Peace Corps to learn the language for free i.e. cost time and the pay is not worth it. But the experience is great. Did Bolivia fun and excitement
And of course there are other things that happen
Watching a cloud for 3 days, drinking wine that is worth the trip, meeting beautiful women, learning a new language, parting with people that are nice at heart and can out drink you..
