Hey everybody!
Just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Tasha and I live in NYC. Read the book this week and I absolutely loved it. I'm just SO happy that I was lucky enough to read it at such a young age! I've been working since the age of 12, which made me a bit cocky and may have led to me dropping out of High School. While in school, I felt it was a real waste of time and I hated the way teachers talked down to students and made us somehow feel inferior. Well I knew I wasn't inferior and I did plenty of interesting learning on my own time. Just didn't feel the need to learn what THEY wanted to teach me. So I've been working ever since and realized it's not all it's cracked up to be. I'm now 23 and have traveled a lot for my age. Every time I do go away, I always got the itch to just LEAVE New York and start a life somewhere easy paced and relaxing. I'd tell my mom, "I'll just rent waverunners at the beach!". But I knew I wasn't ready for any type of business of my own. Luckily I held out and read this book, and now have a much better understanding of how to go about it. I still have not found my muse, but have been brainstorming like crazy since I read the book. My first inclination was to patent my own product, now I've been considering starting a web based business. I'm thinking of starting a web site aimed toward a small niche, and having everything dropshipped. I still have a lot of research to do, for this is the first week I've learned ANYTHING at all about business. But I am really looking forward to chatting with you guys, you all seem real dedicated and helpful. I was surprised that nobody has started a thread on having Meetings with people from the forum according to location. I know I'd definitely like meeting with some of the future NRs of NY! I think it'd be a great opportunity. Thanks for reading and good luck to you all!!! All my best, Tasha

Hi everyone and hi Tasha (brookLyNpreNeur) its nice to meet you.
I am new here too. Just signed up about an hour ago. I found Tim's book at Sam's club by accident while randomly wanteding the isles look at DVDs. Wow what a great book. It made me look at life and thigns in a completely different manner. I already knew quite alot of the outsourcing aspects described having worked in IT and web development such as E-lance or using outsourced manufacturing or logistic and fullfilment companies etc but some of the other things were great. The comfort zone is such a dangerous animal. Having a job is even worse. I am glad to see that there is a book that actually outlines how to gain more freedom. Anyway if anyone wants to chat about starting an online business or has ideas let me know. I would liek to netowrk with likeminded people. I am pretty amazed how few people are on this forum. The book being a bestseller I am suprised that the forums aren't more full. Maybe everyone is doing work and not wasting time posting. In a way this is exactly what you don't want to do but for me this is a start to eliminating the 80% of the useless people in my life and networking with the 20% of people who share the same assions and goals as I do. Tasha if yo uever want to chat let me now. Its really nice to meet you all and I hope everyone here lives their dreams following the ideas in the book and advice on here. |

I'd like to talk to you via e-mail if you're interested. I didn't see an email address for you, so feel free to send me one. I have a similar interest in the beauty industry. I think we could definitely help each other find our muse. I'd also like to talk to you about a few ideas I've come up with since reading the book.
Hope to hear from you soon! -Tasha
