Default My Brazilian friend wants to be my VA, how much should I pay her?

I want to hire my Brazilian friend as my virtual assistant to make phone calls in Spanish.

She lives in Brazil and really needs the money. She doesn't have a college education but she's very polite and has an easy-going personality. She's really charismatic and speaks both Spanish and English pretty well. I actually just need her to call my Spanish speaking clients.

I just have about 4 calls to make at this moment so I'd rather pay her per call. How much should I pay her? In the future, I might hire her to make sales calls but at this point I just need her to call my clients to see if they have any questions, want to renew their services, etc.

Post a job on elance, and see what the rate people offer is. That should give you an estimate.

How long will the calls be?

A Spanish speaking Brazilian? And I thought they spoke mostly Portugese there.

I think $7 per call is reasonable and perhaps offer her a bonus if the client signs on.

@flagman

Yes, she speaks quite decent Spanish but with a super cute Brazilian accent that my clients will love

@webgal

I think $7 is way too much for someone without a college degree in Brazil. I think $3-4 dollars would be enough but since she's my friend, I'll just offer her $5 per call plus a commission if she's able to make me money though that is not the main goal at this time for her "job".

Anyway, thanks to everyone!
