Most definitely. I've been telling clients that for years--before it became popular. A more personal website will connect with people.

What if you have a bunch of different muses in disparate areas? Do you use your real name on all of them and risk massive user confusion (and suspicion) if they Google your name? Or do you use pen names on each and use the same photo?
I'd be interested any ideas folks have in this area. I want my sites to be personable, but I'm also not super comfortable connecting my name to some of my muses, partly because some of them cover sensitive topics, partly because the circles I swim in totally don't get the muse concept and can't see the difference between a legit sales page and a scam. I'd rather just keep the two worlds separate. |
