Default I did it! I talked to my manager for remote work negotiation!!!

Wow.. I did it..

I don't think that I would have taken the initiative and ask to work from home as that was a point in the interview process for this position.. "We do not allow (job title) to work from home",
I saw an opportunity and thought of how I could capitalize and make it sound appealing.. the worst I could end up is him saying no and I continue the way things are.

I talked with the wife and called the meeting.
It didn't go well on my end at all. I was nervous and it shown through. He didn't care, he said that since I'm a hard worked and a top performer.. he would give me the perk. He talked a bit on how he could make it work with the others on my team. He's going to talk with his manager so they are on the same page, he'll have a definitive answer for me tomorrow.

Holly shit.. It worked and it was easy. I can now prove myself at home, less stress, be close to my family and work on my muse as well.

HOOOORAHHH!!!!

cheers!

Congratulations, Mav! If you don't mind, could you share some details of how you'll make it work with the rest of your team? I currently work in a "if we offer it to you, we have to offer it to everyone" kind of place and could really use some pointers.
