Default Motivation Suggestions>>>>

I'm half way there.. I killed my job 10 month's ago. I am working on muses and getting some much needed R and R. I was just curious what everyone uses for motivation on those "what the hell am I doing days". It seems i've been having them a lot lately.

Yup, been there, try to stay away, not always successfull

The main thing for me seems to be that I have to commit to stuff, ie place the need for achieving outside myself. That can be making apointments, ordering stuff to start new projects that is way too expensive not to use (doing that now, I am building a cnc router), make promisses to customers you do not have yet (doing that too, new self steering system aimed to be ready by januari).

And also try to keep in mind that stuf like lack of motivation usually comes and goes.

Oh, very important, try to get help if something turns out to be too heavy for yourself. Good start, posting a message here ;-)

Good luck!

Revisit the book, or any other motivational type book.. I find reading the first couple of chapters refreshing every now and then and helps me refocus on what my dreams are. Maybe it's time to check some off and chase a couple?

Deadlines. I do all my best work on deadlines. Pick one or more things you want to do, give yourself a measure of whether they're finished or not, set (a) deadlines(s) within 1 month. If the psychological pain of missing your deadline won't be enough to motivate you, make bets with your friends as to whether or not you can do it. Oh, and short deadlines are good--creating efficiency by giving yourself less time doesn't just work for jobs, it works for your dreams too.

Good advice. I've been falling into the "paralysis by analysis" trap. Time to make things happen.
