How to test a retail muse ?

Hi

Now i have one example of each piece of the clothes, the jeans and the dresses but how can i test if the retail shop gonna buy it or not, the most simple way would be just to walk into the shops and ask right...? or is there some tricks for testing a muse of this kind maybe in another way too ?

Another question is if it is important with a homepage with description of the company, pictures of the clothes and so on before walking into the shops ?
