I've been testing my sales copy here, http://www.fitlish.com/fitlishfeet
We've sent around 400 people total to the page and sold one copy. Typically we send around 50-100 people then look at the data and revise accordingly. This is the second major revision (previously it was a lot longer and we wanted to try a shorter copy). I've noticed that up until now a very small percentage of people would click the buy now button but they would click the text like mad. I'm assuming to learn more about the product. So I made a checkout page with a little more info about what they get and all the text (and add to cart buttons) link to that checkout. However, I'm terrible at drawing pictures, and doing layouts. Has anybody done a checkout page? Would you have some recommendations? Basically the product is what the copy says, it's a 1 hour long documentary on foot health and shoe selection, then a series of foot stretches and massages. An instruction on how to create your own massage studio at home and a little bonus on making your own barefoot shoes. I'm kind of shooting in the dark right now looking at data and making assumptions to test. Probably that's how it always goes, but this is my first product so any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Check out www.fushionhq.com. A little pricey but it's like optimize press on steroids. After a little practice you'll pump out sales pages like http://application-university.com/specialoffer/ in under an hour.
As for your testing needs. It all goes back to whom are you selling to. What I like to do is write a sales page focusing on the primary pain point as the "hook" and another with the primary benefit (NOT FEATURE) of your product. Then place the two sales pages on an A/B test using fusionhq.com. Pretty easy.... |

Last night we tested a shorter copy (not split test just revision). It was a disaster time on site fell like a rock. I always wondered if shorter was better despite everybody says the opposite. Now it makes since. We're learning at the speed of traffic now lol But I can almost revise on the fly as we get hits. However, google analytics doesn't update till the next day. Do you know of any good data collection tools that update instantaneously? I'm currently also using clickheat which has been invaluable. I'll have to try the tool you mention! Thanks!!! |

The latest evolution is coming along very nicely
![]() Implemented some stuff I learned from a post by Frank Kern and HEAVILY studied SocialTriggers.com before creating the last version. In this version I give them three choices, (1) FREE just links them to posts on my blog then back to copy (2) downloadable (3) DVD by mail. They clicked the living crap out of the free version and shared it on facebook like mad. Still no sales (1 buy click that backed out in 100 visits). I sent my list a question... "what do you find most frustrating about your foot health". I got a handful of excellent responses. Only have 30 people on my list though. I think part of my difficulty with the list is I use a free auto responder, WP-Autoresponder and well it sucks. I cannot split test, cannot check open rates or any of that. And my guess is most of the people on the list aren't opening the letters plus it's glitchy has all get-out sends the wrong messages to the wrong people etc. (but it's FREE and kind of works lol) What auto responder service do you recommend? I'm currently looking at getresponse.com and awebber.com Thanks! |

Maybe you need video clips and more images.
400 people seems like a lot, and your product looks like a good one. I don't mean to sound wise or offend you or anything, as I'm sure you have put a lot of work into the page.. fitlish sounds like a fetish, until you go to the page and see what it is. Would that turn people off?

My email list is slowly growing on it's own through organic traffic. Product doesn't sell to great though... Have a few tweaks to test on the copy yet. Post series I did worked really well as it got a really high response though. I'm kicking around trying udemy to host the program and ditching the DVD fulfillment. But it's still not selling lol Oh well... |
