Default Question On Market Testing

I have an idea for a how to information book/audio - after re-reading 4hww 6 times and still having no clearly defined answer. Can someone please describe to me step by step how I would physically test this market before investing a great deal of time and money into writing the book?

I've talked about this plenty before.

Is your market ABSOLUTELY brand new? If not, it is an existing market and you do not need to test the idea. You need to launch it. Info products do not cost a lot of money to produce, so just DO it.

Then you need to test your website conversions. This takes time and tweaking.

I really believe Tim's testing model applies to NEW stuff. Things that you can't already find in the market. So you test it. Back in the day you tested with Adwords, which was easy. But today it's not easy. You need a higher quality site / landing page.

But besides all that, if you can find evidence that others are succeeding in your same market, you do not need to prove that there are buyers. There ARE buyers. You just need to market well to them.

So your business needs:

1) Good traffic
2) Good conversion.

Those are the things you need to work on ... that's really it. Not that it's easy, but at least you can make it sound easy

Great advice from the Canuck.....if it's an info product--just do it.

Stop fretting over your logo or your domain or your VA or your name--focus on what's most important--getting things done--i.e. your e-book.

For what it's worth ebooks don't sell on their own anymore--that's soooo 2007

The market has evolved. These days you need to deliver your material in a series of videos with an accompanying "quickstart" manual.

And don't forget to include a "free" group coaching seminar as a bonus (costs you nothing and sounds cool).

I agree with the suggestions of making videos and such. But ebooks DO still sell on their own. I do it myself. Kindle store proves it works.

But yeah, add more value to the product so you can charge more and feel good about it.
