Question On Reaching Target Market

My target is venture capital firms specializing in private placement investments, that cold call investors on the telephone to solicit the opportunity to invest.

Examples :

Both of these places solicit investors to send them money to drill oil and gas wells. However, any company that solicits investors for investments is acceptable as long as it's not for publically traded investments like stock.

It's estimated about 30,000 of them in the united states exist, the issue is they arn't legally allowed to advertise for investors, and they arn't legally allowed to really advertise for brokers to hire either. If you're a broker you're just "in the know" and if you're an investor you get cold called.

I'm trying to figure out how to profile and get the contact information for all of these private companies raising capital. At which point i can advertise my product to them. I actually used to be a broker at firms like these and can't think of any 1 magazine or website, or whatever that all of them read.

I tried hiring 2 different people on elance who data scraped every company that had registered searching for an investment through FINRA (the regulator body that governs this industry) however it proved less than usefull.

If anyone has any suggestions of software, or anything I can use to grab contact info for all 30,000 of these it's game over. Dunzo, TMI and sippin beverages on a private tour around the world.

*** Just to clarify *** I am not seeking investment capital. I was previously a broker who actually raised investment capital for companies like these. I have a product to sell these specific companies.

Funny story, actually... The short version is basically, mutual friends... and they realized I had very specific skills that could be translated into convincing millionaires to send me money over the phone. Hahaha.

If you're trying to get in I can show you how, but I definetely don't recommend it. The money is great but it's a dark world.
