If there is 20% in the area of laundry that contributes to 80% of my depression and unhappiness, it's matching socks. Haha!

I haven't done this yet, but I'll throw out every single one of my socks and by all the same socks. Problem solved!

It's just hard to find those same socks! Because I tried that. By the time you decide you need the same socks you had last time, the marketing department has already revamped them making them different.

Almost all of my socks are the same - so matching isn't a problem. But I always end up with an odd sock... I probably leave a trail from the laundry building in my apartment complex.

I put a clothespin on my pairs of socks prior to putting them in the hamper to keep them together. Eventually I get a bunch of broken clothespins. But I don't have to sort so much

We are a family of five, so I have a few things that I do:

I tried to handle a load each morning as my "share." About weekly I would drop off a load to the local dry cleaners. They offer fluff 'n' fold (traditional laundering), and I can get it cheap with their coupons.

Everyone else in my house is female, so my clothes are substantially larger since I am tall.

I honestly think we should be outsourcing our laundry to our kids... but that is a tough sell to the wife.

When I was in the Navy (in bootcamp), we had washable mesh bags that we used for socks. Just fill them up and throw them in.
