Default How to Go About Marketing Yourself

Just needed some advice on how to proceed with trying to make the most out of a soon to come achievement.

I have on multiple occassions broken the Weighted Pull-up World Record, not officially, but just by my own accord.

Soon I was planning to send in a video to Guiness to actually get the record.

My dilemma is that I would like to use this to market myself in the fitness community, and I just don't know the best way to go about it. I was thinking I could just talk to a few gym owners around town and see if they wanted to use it to advertise for their gym. To be honest though I really don't have any experience in this and I have no idea the best/most effective way to go about this.

my goal is either to 1. promote myself in order to help getting a fitness buisness started or 2. be able to make some $ off of this.

any advice on this would be much appreciated,

Thanks!!

You must certainly be able to get your local press and perhaps TV interested for the attempt. Get permission from local TV to use the clips on your own site, youtube etc - their branding will give you additional credibility for whatever service/product you want to market.
