Default How Much Profit Could You Generate From This?

I have created a site on cold water therapy: Cold Showers.

I don't yet have a finished product: I am in the testing phase, and currently it isn't too promising. I would love to hear from the more experienced marketers (or anyone really) on how much profit you would expect to churn out if you used this site as a springboard for an ebook, webinar, newsletter, or whatever type of product or service you are comfortable or experienced with using.

The two main possibilities I am holding in mind right now are a guidebook of cold water cures (i.e. you can look up how hydrotherapists have traditionally dealt with certain illnessses), or a newsletter on general health information. Those are just my ideas though.

The site gets about 200 visitors a day, a good amount from search traffic but the majority from referrals. Bounce rate is about 80% using the current site format.

How much do you think you could earn, ballpark figure, with how much effort, and through what medium?

Just trying to figure out if I am going in the right direction. Thanks.

There is no instant view on solutions to a perceived problem. There is no aha! for any visitor. For the site as it is now you need knowledge to be able to judge if this site is interesting.

If you can present what you are selling as an instant solution to a problem the visitor actually (think they) have than you may make some money.
The way it is now you are unlikely to make any money.

I don't like your answer, but I thank you for your honest feedback.

I am trying to determine where to concentrate my efforts. I put a lot of work into this site, but if it is of no (monetary) use, I guess it is nigh time to abandon it. I have not yet had much success in any endeavor so I am trying to get feedback on whether there is potential.

If you had no resources - no lists, no existing websites, no network - except for this site, and a limited amount of time, would you try to leverage it to produce income, or would you start from scratch with something else? 200 visitors a day seems like a lot to throw away.

I think the site does provide a lot of value (which is basically a sampling of the product I intended to sell), but you are right, it doesn't exactly make you water at the mouth to buy something.

I am not sure what you meant though by "you need knowledge to be able to judge if this site is interesting". I thought that I was writing on the level of the layman (which is, after all, pretty much all I am capable of). And I thought most of the content had practical import. That was not your impression?

Expanding it to "healthy lifestyle" might work. That could lead to repeat visits.

Yeah, I was thinking something along those lines. Using it as either a portal for a blog or email newsletter featuring healthy lifestyle tools and information. Thanks again! Sometimes it helps to just write some thoughts down.
