Have factory in China-looking for a great product & partner

Hi all -

My name is Vik, and our family business is helping US companies source and manufacture their products in China. We have our own manufacturing facility in southern China with a large variety of production processes and capabilities (wood, metal, plastic, etc.) and our China staff is well connected with various suppliers throughout the region. We work with a number of large companies and handle the production of their own designs.

Business is OK but I'm not that passionate about the products we manufacture right now, and we don't have any of our own designs. My dream is to manufacture and sell my own great, beautiful product and hopefully create the ideal "muse" in the process. I've got the manufacturing capability, but no great ideas or designs.

I believe if I can find a partner with a great idea (and hopefully some online selling/marketing know-how), we could really accomplish a great deal. Imagine if you had a great product and full control of the entire manufacturing-to-selling process? But I'm not just looking to manufacture for someone - I'm really looking to partner with someone to create and develop a wonderful product, from beginning to end.

True, you can find suppliers online via Alibaba, etc., but trust me, it's risky business. Unless you're willing to travel to China and do quality control multiple times throughout the design and production process, you're going not going to get what you asked for. And my staff in China can get better pricing. Once a China factory knows you are a foreigner, they will gouge you.
