Default Success story: 2 muses, working 8h/mtn

Hey everyone,

2 years ago, after reading 4HWW, I created my first muse, an ebook for programmers. You can see a thread I started here to get some feedback: http://fourhourworkweek.com/vBulleti...ead.php?t=3465.

The eBook did, and is still doing pretty well, generating up to 70 sales per month ($2-3k). But that was not enough to quit my job.

A few months ago, I left my job and launched an online course (http://owningrails.com/) to my surprise it is selling out in 48h each time At $480 a seat, 20 ppl per class, I'm now making more than I ever did in my live, "working" only 8h/mtn (class is 8h over two days).

Now, I'm not sure I have yet fully realized what is happening to me... I took a month off, but I missed working and creating stuff.

So, as a way to say thanks to everyone who helped me, I created a book on copywriting, a skill that helped me a lot in increasing my sales: http://copywritingforgeeks.com/. Although the title says "... for geeks", you don't actually need to be a geek of any sort to understand the book

And the book costs: nothing! It's free! You just need to sign up to my newsletter, on which I answer all your questions about validating, launching and selling products. No catch, simply giving back

I hope you like the book and that it helps you w/ your muse!

Nice work.

Always great to hear about success stories and nice of you to write back.

Sweet landing pages also.

Looking forward to reading the book.

EDIT: What do you use to create your landing pages?

Hey Marc,

I'm not sure how much of this ebook's content is the summary of the work it's based on and how much is your own input, but this is one of the most entertaining, engaging and insightful ebooks I've read in the past year.

And I've read a lot of them!

It made me laugh several times, tbh. Mostly because of the humour instilled in the copy writing, but also because you've laid out the principles in eye-opening simplicity.

Even when I was aware of these principles there was a few 'LOLS - OF COURSE!!'

Highly recommended download.

P.S. Really like your style, I'll be in touch!

Wow that is quite a nice feedback, thank you! (Do you allow me to quote you on my sales page?

I'm a programmer, so I use a small static website framework I built in Ruby for creating the landing page: https://github.com/macournoyer/sc. Also, I know a few PhotoShop tricks, which is used for the header.

I'm glad you like the book and my style and I hope you'll enjoy the newsletter too.

Thanks Ross!
