Default Receive and transfer office calls while working remotely

I'm currently working for a small company and am in the process of negotiating a remote working deal. One of their concerns is that at present I act as a 'gate keeper' when answering the telephone ensuring that the directors do not get interrupted by telesales/coldcallers.

Does anyone know of a product/service which will allow me to answer calls which are made to the main office from my home AND then be able transfer calls to the main office if required? Standard call forwarding does not appear to be an option because I would not be able to transfer relevant calls back to the main office. Is this something which can be achieved using VOIP?
