Default Outsourcing the Books

Hi,
Anyone have a good system for automating and outsourcing your bookkeeping? Recommendations on Accountants? Low maintenance ways to go virtual?

Share your thoughts and experiences.

My experience? There is none.

It is and always will be up to you. So if you want to use an accountant, go for quality. Make sure that you can talk to them.

I have been thinking of outsourcing the job of keeping stuff in the right order. That would involve sending all my invoices and bank statements to the company and having them tell me what to pay when. Then take the compiled statements/invoices to the accountant every quarter.

But at them moment it is still not that much work, it is just hard for me to get a routine going for a job that only needs doing every three months.

Thanks Sven,
That's really my problem too. It's not much work, but it's not my strong suit, and I would like the routine to be driven by someone other than me.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

www.mint.com should be able to save you and your accountant tons of time (and you money)

You gotta get setup right away so that it will record most of next years tax info.
