Hi Guys,
After 8 months of travel we have finally made it home. After the semi failure / success of my (holiday photo site) - failure in that I didn't make any money, but success in that I learnt an awful lot about internet marketing. I have now setup a blog following my dreams of making $240 a day from online marketing. If you are interested, check out my blog on trying to earn a passive income. If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear from you. I think I am going to need all the help I can get... Cheers Jono |

![]() When even Time Magazine is talking about blog gridlock and the over abundance of blogs, you need to come up with something better. $240 A day is $87,600 a year FFS! (edit: Not 876,000, but still way over the normal necessary TMI). I know your TMI does not need to be anywhere near that figure, and even the top bloggers aren't making anything near that off blogging. ps things like spell check and proper punctuation are not suggestions here either. One spelling or punctuation error, run on sentence... and you will lose readers. Proof reading is free. Last edited by kamakiri; 11-25-2008 at 04:29 AM. |

One zero too many? 240 * 356 = $87,600. Many top bloggers are clearing that.

D'OH! I need to double check my abacus more often, but I am sure there are more than 356 days in a year.

I have to agree with Kam. Blogs are overrated, especially blogs with day limitations to reach a goal. Blogs as an accompaniment to a full website (where there is a distinct purpose, separate from what is already out there on the Internet) are a separate matter.
I have yet to read a single blog which has met it's goal within the stated allotted time. You become the boy who cried wolf when you fail to meet your posted goals, and unfortunately, a lot of people don't seem to care about this fact. My advice would be to scrap the idea of '40 days', keep it to yourself, and create a product-based website as soon as you are done creating the software. Do beta-testing through users on this forum. They would be better beta-testers than the general public, so you might as well use that resource rather than hope to find beta-testers through your blog. If anything, constantly updating the blog will only hinder your progress in finishing your software by having to write about your progress every single day. Good luck! |

I got the same impression as I read through the first blog post. As such, my intrest was piqued, as I want to do the same thing, and if it worked for you, it will work for me. I'm game to follow along once I see that it works. Best of luck to ya! |
