I know this is on the verge of spam, but this guy's muse was too good to pass up, (gourmet spam possibly?). Anyone ever heard of this? And what do you think are the chances that they ever made $1 from the idea?

OMG that's just too funny.
I would say "now I've seen it all", but I am sure some Spotteswood will chime in with the "Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?" reply, killing my buzz.... :)

You didn't answer my questions Tim. Do you think anyone beside the infomercial producer made money off this thing?

If only there were ... erm ... an "attachment" for more ... erm ... "adult" activities while I work ...

LOL yup. I was thinking, ditch the armrests and plop the secretary on one's lap. There are some things that you just can't outsource.

that is such a piece of ___. I recently saw this on some tv show, maybe daily show or colbert report? I heard they had to work to dig up the actual manufacturer and ordered one and they have a countdown for when they are getting it.
Their is NO CHANCE that works out your abs. However, their is 100% chance that'd make me nauseous and vomit - so in that regard, perhaps it would help me lose weight and make my abs more visible.

I don't know about the 'no chance' comment. The new fitness craze in Japan is the Joba, and it simulates riding a horse, and moves in much the same way as that chair.
Here is the current CM form youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB1SezwtWyU).
This thing is actually all over in the department stores, and sells fairly well.
Dude....but that's Japan. I lived there....you currently live there. You know what I mean. :)
Now, to answer your question, made money as in profit? No. I think perhaps there were some sold, but that he didn't recoup any costs. Producer laughed all the way to the bank. :)

I live in Japan too, and have had a fun ride on one of those Jobas.
I think it's time for the Hawaii-Joba chair. All the office practicality of the Hawaii Chair, all the techonological advancement of the Joba. Would anyone like to set up the export website for me?
Are you impressed that my first post on this forum is so action orientated? :)

Welcome to the board... but I do have to say that if you really believe that your first post was 'action orientated', you are in for a lifetime of 40-50 hour work weeks.
Asking someone else to do your work for you is no way to get into the 4HWW lifestyle.
That aside, where in Japan are ya?

I'm up in Toyama ken, on the opposite coast from Tokyo. I hear Nagasaki is a nice place, but I haven't made it down that far.
Yes, I'd like to avoid getting stuck in the 40-50 hour work week, but I don't mind going through it for a while if I know the goal is 4-5 hour work week.
How's your 4hww going? I read in your profile that you're a business owner.
It's great to see someone else in Japan. Yoroshiku.
