How much to spend testing Muse with PPC

Im wondering how much you think is a reasonable amount to be spending on PPC, testing the muse.

Also what others methods would you use for testing the muse?

I think you need to aim for at least 600 clicks to see what kind of conversion you get, so if you are paying $0.15 per click, it might cost you 90 bucks to test. Your keywords could cost more or less than this, depends on your competition and quality score.

Aside from this I would aim for free traffic to your website by posting to forums where people are interested in your market (and put your web site in your signature). You could also post an auction on eBay as if the product actually existed, but take the auction down before it ends, since you don't have product.

Lastly, you could advertise it on Craigslist as a "used" item. I did that for my www.TalkingToToddlers.com site, I "sold" two of them for $20 on Craigslist in a couple of hours in my home town. Of course I never replied to the emails asking if they could buy my product. How could I? It doesn't exist. But I knew there was demand. And it cost nothing.
