Is there any benefit in providing Google checkout option along with my yahoo shopping cart?

The main benefit is that if you use google checkout in your store, then your google ADWORDS ads will show a special logo that says "Google Checkout".

This little feature will help you increase your traffic conversion.

Also, when you have google checkout you get a discount on your google adwords bill.

PS: do not forget to add the Google Keyword Tracking HTML code in your thank-you page when you use google adwords PPC advertising. If you dont know from which keyword your sale came from, then you are wasting your money!

(Among the many things I do, I am also completing my MBA dissertation on Pay Per Click advertising...perhaps I will post here an abstract when it is done. I think PPC is such a fascinating world, when you also combine it with offline direct-response methods!)

There are pros & cons.

The biggest pro is the added credibility of the google brand.
people know, like & trust it.
that rubs off on you & your site

it's also very easy to use - some of the yahoo sites are very cumbersome

if it were me, I'd build a couple of test pages (not for every product, just your busiest)
send google traffic to the page with G checkout
& yahoo traffic to the existing
& TEST.
you can't beat a good test.
