Hello everyone. I really enjoy these forums and Tim's work. I need to outsource a program for my muse and thought Id post here while I was researching places to get my work done. I'll be checking out Elance and ODesk among other places. My muse is based on statistics and what I need is a program that will take entered data/numbers and add it up and then reference it vs other entered data to tell which is greater. I'd also like for it to be transferable onto a website automatically. Im not great with programming so this may very well be able to be done with a simple spreadsheet, Im not sure yet. It will need to be able to handle a couple thousand or more separate entries. Thats just the basics...has anyone had to have a similar program outsourced? If so, where are the best places to look for this kind of service? Thanks in advance!

The best place to look for similar programming projects to yours are on Elance and ODesk. Look for completed job that are similar in nature to yours and then create a list of the providers who did the jobs and whose feedback you like. Then create a very detailed post of your job (if you think it's proprietary and don't want to disclose the information publicly, you can post it privately) and then invite those providers to apply for your job.

This way you will be dealing with those with the best proven experience to deliver and hence less management headaches!

On the other hand if you are looking for assistance with your day to day & recurring administrative tasks I will love to invite you to try our Virtual Assistant services. We now offer a Free 7-Day trial to allow you to try before you buy.
