Hello Guys

I have been quite active on this forum and I hope many of you have found my
postings useful.

I have been building my online business for a few years already and I am always asked "what should I sell"?

What I always recommend is to have your own balanced portfolio of online projects:

1) affiliate programs can bring you nearly instant cash (if you know how to promote affiliate products the right way), but are all "one-off" sales. Which means that every day you have to get brand new customers

2) dropshipping programs, when you have a consumable business, can allow you to build a solid recurring revenue.

So I would recommend you to start with affiliate programs and then to use the profits from affiliate programs to build your own dropshipping empire based on consumable products.

Building a balanced online business that can give you the security of a stable monthly income requires patience and determination.

You will have to build some solid online marketing skills, but if you keep your goal in mind (=freedom) then nothing should stop you and nobody will be able to steal your dream.

Hope this helps,

Danny

italian_job,

Solid advice.

I think first and foremost you must bring value to the marketplace or else you are pretty well doomed.

There must be a need your your product/services, and your product/services better be quality.

That being said, you can always sell quality products through affiliate links, or sell quality products through dropshippers.

Make sure there is a demand for the benefits of your products beforehand though.

italian_job,

Quick question,

Do you make your primary revenue through your website in your signature?

And how do you market this site?

And I'm curious to see if people click on your aff links and convert.

I guess I'm really asking... (I'm just curious, and you don't have to answer, it just seems like you're fairly established with 6 years of experience.)

-How do people find you?
-What makes them trust your reviews and convert to sales?

Thanks!
-Sean

Driving qualified prospects to my websites is obviously an important element of my online business.

I have found that the most ready-to-buy visitors to my sites are people that I have in my autoresponders.

I am sure you are familiar with the process of building newsletters and autoresponders.

I do follow the process I explained above: I have used affiliate programs to bring in some cash into the biz, but now most of my profit comes from the drop shipping program that i am using, where I sell consumable products that give me the stable recurring income that I was looking for.

I still like to blog every now and then, but I dont like too much the concept of one time sales. I prefer to be paid over and over for my initial effort.

Hope this answers to your question.
