Just wondering if anyone is using or has used clickbank as an affiliate to generate revenue?

I signed up to Clickbank to learn how to use google adwords and my "project" was to promote some affiliate products using PPC advertising. So far my ads have about 25,000 impressions, about 350 clicks, and I've made 2 sales.

My total cost of adwords spending so far is about $40 or so. My revenue in commission is about $200 from the two sales (total).

I won't get paid until I make 5 sales to people with different credit card numbers, including one visa and one mastercard ... so I might have to wait a while but right now I just discovered a great new set of keywords that has tripled my clicks per day, so I may actually make one sale per week from this campaign ($100 per week minus maybe $20 per week adwords) ... not bad for a test.

There are other affiliate sites you can use, and they don't have the same minimum payout requirements that clickbank does.

I have used clickbank quite alot in the past. I quit using them for a while, but am getting back to it just now.

There are MANY techniques to promoting the clickbank products, but one that I found to be very successful was to start a blog about a particular niche that you are interested in and start writing. Build the content, and a relationship with your readers. Then, start doing reviews of different products on clickbank. And don't forget to build a list, and continue marketing to them even if they don't come to your site. For instance I used to have a site on bodyweight fitness. This site offered exercise information, benefits of using your own bodyweight, training programs for people to follow (such as the Navy Seal Workout to get ready for BUDS)... etc... and then I found a great couple of ebooks that really showed all the things you can do with bodyweight training... I sold the heck out of that book, and got paid 40% every time too :).

Anyway, Clickbank can be really good... you just have to find the right product to sell. Additionally, you need to test different ways of marketing. I have used numerous methods including pay-per-click that went directly to the sales page, banners on my sites and others, reviews, duplicating the sales page on its own domain, etc, etc... there are even ways to mix in some offline advertising to sell the digital clickbank products.

Best of luck to you! I believe that if creating products is your thing, go for it... but if you enjoy marketing, there are plenty of products out there to promote!

Make it a great day!

What he said.

Just started with this...150 impressions, 6 clicks, 1 sale

Seems like a good way to earn if you find the right product.

Oh, and here's a tip.... Alot of times I would just run an ad that went directly to the affiliate link. This was fine, but I have since changed my strategy for most of the campaigns I run. I want to capture their names....

So, make sure you put up an opt in form and build your list.... then after you get their name/email, just have your list mgmt program (i.e. aweber) redirect them to the affiliate link.

If you don't have an email marketing solution already, I recommend aweber (http://www.aweber.com/?288692). Yes, thats an affiliate link... so, mods, if thats a bad thing please delete the link.. not trying to be sneaky or anything. aweber truly is the best in my opinion, and for 99 bucks.... if you use it, you will make your money back.

Make it a great day!
