What do ya think? I'm working on grammar and everything. Sales page for the ebook prolly needs work. I plan on switch the wordpress theme eventually.

I like the concept; site obviously needs some cleanup work as it is news. Couple questions/thoughts:

1) Did you price it at $10 because you think college students are too cheap to pay anything above this? I've actually been thinking about this with my muse lately since it's also targeted at college students.

2) Why not put the sales copy on the front page instead of the blog? Or are you trying to use the blog to market the e-book?

3) Based on most e-book sites I've seen, the sales copy should be longer than that, but I honestly don't know how much of a difference it makes - anyone else have thoughts?

It is good that you did something.

Now you gotta do it better.

One of the misperceptions that is fostered by Ferriss' work is that it is easy. although there are exceptions, success is not easy.

ALMOST ALWAYS ... when you throw sh*t at the fan; all that happens is sh*t is flung all over the room.

You have to do a much better job in describing the problem - EMOTIONALLY. Then you must write compelling copy that will convince a person to pull out a credit card NOW.

Please submit a revision. It is easier (and more fun) to give praise than criticism.

thanks for the tips,

1) I priced it at 9.99 because I figured 19.99 would be too much in the eyes of the target market (college kids). In fact I've been doing a lot of pondering about whether or not I'd be better not selling anything, and instead just giving those 50 pages that i wrote for free on the site? then I'd have to monetize efficiently...

2) I could make the sales page the index, but I do plan on writing many articles and eventually making this site More of a portal. Like I kinda envision a forum and all

3) Yes, my sales copy needs work. I was unsure if making it look like all the other sites would make people less likely to buy? Am I better off with a look-a-like skinny/ sales page?

thanks again, i posted this on a few forums and only got flamed. Good tips from you guys. I'll make revisions within a few hours and post back, gotta go rake leaves right now. later

i've changed the theme, and decided that its not worth it to sell a 10 dollar ebook. Im going to build a library of articles and then make a large product that can sell for a few hundred

Sorry about posting several times in a row, no one else is talking but I want to make sure readers are getting recent info. I just changed the domain name, the site is no longer at loseweightincollege.com

The new domain is:
http://www.Studentfitness.org

I think it will work out much better. I severely changed the site, new theme (less professional, hopefully more personal)

Any opinions? I need some pictures I know. I just need a decent one of me to put up

Looks pretty decent. Clean, simple look.

Good articles, you can tell that it's actually you writing...which is good.

I think the domain change was a good idea.

I think a left hand sidebar would be better for you in the long run. Keep doing what you're doing. I have a guy finishing up a page for me at elance which I believe will be ok for me, but I feel that quality posting like you're doing will be more beneficial overall. I have a little travel blog that I do this with...and it's enjoyable too.

Hi there

Honestly I really dont see how you can make some decent money with a site like that.

How will you drive traffic to your site?

It always amazes me how people dont talk about this CRUCIAL part of their muse....

If you are hoping to get ranked well from search engines, what are the keywords you are targeting?

Have you tested them first with pay per click?
