I think it would very cool for someone to start an IRC room or something dedicated to the 4-Hour Work Week. I'm not too good with IRC or I would, but if no one can I will figure out a way to do it. Thanks.

Here it is, #t4hww on dalnet (irc.dal.net)

Direct link: irc://irc.dal.net/t4hww

For those that don't know IRC: You can go to http://www.mirc.com/ , and download "mirc" there, a very popular chat client. There's also a lot of information on that site, as soon as you have installed it , click the link above.

For those that prefer to just chat in their browser, I set up the following (I'll mail the "website guru" , maybe he'll put something like it on on the site):
http://208.101.33.44/ ; just choose a nickname and click join and you're in :)
(it's possible that your browser gives some alerts, just click accept / run / ...)

Hope you like it

Thanks very much Gerto. For people like me stuck at work and need a way around a firewall, there is a great site at http://ircatwork.com See you in the chat.

Hmmm, that's why I set up http://208.101.33.44/

doesn't that work?
By the way; I'm usually quite lonely there :(

I can't seem to get to that IP address for some reason. And if you are using a Java client, it would still use the normal IRC ports anyway and those are at least blocked here where I am. I have been in their a couple of times, but no one was there, it will take some time to catch on.

Just tried the chat room. It 'worked' but was kinda lonely in there. Sure was dark. Perhaps with time it will catch on. I too, am slightly amazed with the number of people on the forum given the amount of sales and publicity on the book. I hope to continue with it though. As my profiles says... I am old school. I see Tim's book as taking Friedman's book and telling how it applies to ME... TODAY.... and not some set of forces at work out there in the wild blue yonder of corporate competition. The book is about the new school and a rapidly changing world. I think it would make for some interesting 'chats' and maybe someday soon the room will thrive.

Lets set up a time when we know people will be available to chat? How about sometime in the evening? Around 5-7PM PST?

This is a Request for there to be a web based chat room, on the official Timothy Ferriss website, I personally would like it to be in the members only section. Further more this Web based chat room should be link to from the members only section.

Thanks for the great book,
And thanks for Paying your webmaster to add it, if you do.
