Hi,
super glad i found this forum. :))
I am looking constantly for new ideas on what else i can outsource in my work and private life.
Currently i am trying to think of a system that cuts me off from my emails, todo list and calendar and is run by a V.A.
Has anyone any experience with that? I've read a couple of times that Tim has done it. But i'd appreciate some details? What is the exact set up?
Here is some stuff hat i've already outsourced:
- I perform as a singer every now and then. The problem is that i hate song writing. I used to like it when i was younger and had more time. But now i simply outsourced my songwriting. I found someone who has a similar style and i simple adjust the lyrics to my needs.
- Managing my mp3 and movie collection. I don't really have that many. But the last time i spent an hour or so resorting the collection for the 100th time i decided to finally hand it over to my indian v.a. I use an online storing service for my MP3s (www.mp3tunes.com) and movies (blip.tv) and simply gave him access and told him how to sort it.
- I hired someone to clean my flat and do all my laundry and dishes.
- I got a personal trainer for my workout routine. He trains with me and also motivates me to eat properly and show up to training sessions.
- I hired a financial coach and accountant. She has full control over all my business and private finances. I had a little spending problem :) and now she is setting up my budgets and all that.
- Work wise i am currently overseeing some 20 or so web projects. I outsourced all programming to 2 indian programming companies.
- For all work related research and details work i also have 2-3 v.a.'s in india and 2 in germany (for local sites).
- Blog writing & Content updates on websites. I have a couple of writers that post blog posts to some of mine and my clients blogs and websites. As well as doing community based tasks.
- Finding new projects for myself on guru.com and elance. Basically all communication until someone actually wants to work with me. Then i take over.
I understand that what you can outsource also depends on what you actually do with your life... but do you guys have any other creative outsourcing ideas?
Did anyone outsource their cooking? I want to eat healthy and have a special diet that i can't just order somewhere.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
v
