Here is the question I have for all of you: What if there was a faceook app designed specifically for testing muses. More specifically a way you could have a fully functional set of tabs on your new muses facebook page that would do all of the steps involved in testing a muse in a very short amount of time(1 evening preferably). Here is roughly how I envision the process:

You get the idea
You sign up for the app on my site (60 seconds)
You fill in all of the information for your product on the site(5 Minutes)
You chose a theme (90 seconds - Optional: 30 Minutes if you wish to customize the HTML/CSS)
You upload some pictures, most likely stock(5 minutes)
You set up an advertising campaign to drive people to your page(10 Mintues)
You wait to see if people sign up(???)

Cheap, simple, and customizable. The whole thing would be based directly off of Tim's formula for testing. A landing page(its actually a tab)with call to actions, an order product page(again tab), and a goal page(tab) for when the user signs up(its up to you if this goes to a real processor or just a 'thank you for signing up but...' page).

Eventually I would add other services and widgets like slide shows, videos, wall functionality; maybe even a full blown CMS(Content Management System). An example would be after you set up the page you decide to post a video to increase interactivity, click click click, its posted on your landing page and people are viewing it and clicking your call to action links.

I know this all may seem far stretched. The rookies here are probablly thinking "Is this guy crazy, why is he telling everyone his idea?!?!" and the veterans here are thinking "No way he can get this thing built, its just to damn complex". To the rookies I say "Ideas are nice, but its all in the execution" and to the veterans I simply offer you this challenge "Try me... :)". I apologize if that sounds harsh but I am challenging you, we all know Facebook is a gold mine. Why shouldn't we be able to effortlessly test the market? Fans are worth 100 times what a unique visit is worth, why not cash in?

I'm not asking for anything, just throwing around some ideas. This is my test, to see if anyone is interested in quick Facebook muse testing and execution. Let me know what you think. Also I will need some beta testers so if you have read this far and are looking for a quick cheap way to get a FB app up and are willing to participate in the development process then drop me a line(or comment) and we will see how far we can take this.

Alright, enough of me trying to make dollar symbols appear in your eyes, its too late in the evening for that. How about I just give you a little background in who I am? I am a web application engineer, more specifically a Facebook application engineer with an idea and a proven track record building applications for companies like the following:

The Academy of Country Music
Vanity Fair

Long story short after a long day of dealing with a client that decided he wanted to arbitrarily lower the rate we agreed on by $10 per hour after the project is 90% complete I decided it was a good time to put some effort into migrating my business model from a service to product.

I am also a member of the new rich. I have managed to stay office free for the last 2.25 years(with the exception of 2 months at the end of last summer). I have traveled the US, and get to enjoy my mini retirements for 4-6 months a year.

Also I am incredibly left brain strong right brained weak which should explain all of the typos in this post.

May your muses be profitable and your travels be filled with adventure
