What would you recommend for someone who wants to become a successful actor in Hollywood? How do you break into the industry and become a success?

I have one friend who I was in drama with at college, Kristina Kuzmic-Crocco, who got on TV through a reality show competition put on my Oprah where the winner would get to host their own show on her new network. http://www.oprah.com/own-your-own-show/Your-OWN-Show-Webisode-Kristinas-Fearless-Kitchen-Video

She did this by making a website where she did cooking shows on youtube: www.stickycook.com and then went on to compete for the show. That's the only first hand account of someone I actually know doing it. She did it by pretty much being relentlessly focused on exactly what she wanted.

I know Lisa Novak got a spot on Saturday Night Live doing the same thing - youtube shows.

-networking going to drama schools in LA who have contacts with casting agents.

-Going to LA and going to dozens of casting, without never giving up...

-Making professionnal pictures and online book. Registering on online directories for wanna be artists and networking til you get noticed.
