View Full Version : What happened to the Yoga for Rock Climbers and Shirts from France examples?

I am about half way through the 4-Hour Work Week (I started reading it after reading the 4-Hour Body, which has been a somewhat successful experiment (http://lewayotte.com/2011/01/29/the-4-hour-body-expirement-slow-carb-diet-month-1/) so far). I was really interested in the examples Tim gave about the Rock Climber's yoga DVDs and the Shirts from France guy.

I googled both and came up short-handed (at least for these particular people). I then went to the websites for both (included in 4HWW) and both are parking pages with ads.

I have a few ideas to hopefully generate some extra income and get me started on my lifestyle redesign, but I am a little put off that the two examples given in 4HWW seem to be dead now.

Does anyone here know about the history of these sites/people? How successful were they? Did they eventually fail? Do most of these muse sites eventually fail? If so, why? How can we prevent it?

Thanks!

I think those were hypothetical examples on how to approach the sales testing from 2 different perspectives.

The big issue with those examples is this sentence(I'll paraphrase from memory):

"They then set up 600 word testimonial rich sales pages which emphasize product differentiators".

Writing a sales copy like that without sales experience is so damn hard, it makes me want to bash my head into the wall. At the same time hiring a sales copy editor for a sales test costs ~400+$ on Elance...
