How do I build a School?

I remembered how Tim wrote something about making a project to build a school in a third world country with just 10000$.
Has any of you done something like this and/or knows how its done.

I would like to raise money with my school class that will graduate this spring and use it to make school possible for others.

Also: If you have any good ideas as to how to tell a lot of people about the project so they donate money to us that would also be helpful.
