www.truthaboutabs.com
the author makes about $10,000,000 a year with this eBook. (no misprint ;))
I also known a guy who made six figures yearly by selling a 30 page eBook for about $39 a piece. I think it was about article marketing if I remember.
So yes, it's possible to earn money with eBooks :-)

My e-books have made over $30,000 the past few months.
Definitely doable :)

Just curious, where did you get the stats on that site? I'd like to reverse engineer their marketing :)

Yes... quite a ways behind Adam but I've done well with mine also. You have to target your niche though, I haven't tried clickbank but may give it a shot this month.
The truth about abs ads- for some reaons the catch phrase "a weird tip about belly fat" seems all the rage. I've seen a half dozen knockoffs, al using the word "weird", I guess the masses are more likely to click on weird things.
As for that niche- has anybody ever written a diet book that didn't make money? Seems like the unsaturatable market.

I'd also be interested in hearing about the processes you went through to put together an ebook like that - for example, gathering research, editing, who else you worked with etc. Infact, how long did it take you to put together one ebook?
While some ebooks make money, many more do not. You simply do not hear much about ones that don't...
I've worked with an ebook on lucid dreaming, which did not make, in fact lost its author a lot of time and over 1200$.
I also wrote an ebook myself on the subject of video game addiction - also a lot of wasted effort, as it didn't sell one copy.
I've read somewhere that there are over 500 books (ebooks?) published every single day, and it seems to me that people have less and less time to sit in front of a computer to read them. This is why I was playing around with an idea of an audiobook, but never got to it...

There is a list of topics for ebooks that sell.
There is a link to it in the pdf link posted by
Shusu. But yes, it is a considerable investment
of time - so tread carefully. And a learning curve
is involved. Overnight successes are rare.
