Hello,
is anyone actually using worldwidebrands? What do you like about it and what not? I just coughed up the fee, but have already requested a refund. The results I was getting were utterly useless and definitely not checked for correctness (several websites had nothing to do with a drop shipper or wholesaler). Also, the same 7 search results came up all the time, but 4 of them had absolutely nothing to do with what I was looking for.
It's a great muse for someone though ;) The "ads" page where you get to see 3 google ads is a great idea, particularly since I could have gone to google and watched the same ads; seriously, I have no idea what the value added feature of that is.
Also, I doubt the claims made about the size of the database, but, more importantly, the results I got, were horrible. Google gives much better results.
So my 2c is, don't waste your time. But, since they've been in business for a while, maybe I'm just missing something and I would love to know :)

The search button is such a useful tool:

Search sure is great, but all the results I saw were in the line of "I haven't tried it, pay the fee to see", etc.
Any recent experiences and what anyone thinks are the benefits is what I'm looking for.
And, yeah, if you have nothing to add, then please don't.
edit: and if you read beyond the first line of my initial post, you would have seen that I have tried it, but don't get it, so I am asking what the benefits are 'cos, hey, I could be wrong in thinking there are none.

I've been generally disappointed in WW Brands. I've found MANY more suppliers and had very good luck with two other sites that are free to register with:
www.diytrade.com
www.globalsources.com
After registering, I contacted a few suppliers via email and within hours I was having email conversations with them. The only thing I sort of like about WW Brands is the market potential meters - however you get the same thing for free when you look up search terms on google keyword search site that Tim offers in the book.
Overall, I don't see a reason to join WW brands over these other two sites.

Thank you so much Jeff :) I will definitely take a look at those 2.
Just as a follow-up and to be fair to WW brands, I did get my refund, but only after I put in a paypal complaint, to which they replied they never received my cancellation/refund request; I have no reason to not believe them, but they did later on respond to my complaint sent at the same time in which their response was that I wasn't searching correctly (oh, well, that must have been it ;) ).
thanks again Jeff! :) I'll go look at them now.

I used to work for one of these two companies. :)
Like Alibaba, the one I worked for is a directory of manufacturers that you can search. Alibaba and the company I worked for are not in any way affiliated with the companies...much like NYNEX isn't affiliated with the companies it lists in the Yellow Pages or Thomas Register is affiliated with the companies listed in its books.
You still need to do your due diligence, since some companies are larger and more capable than others.

Well, i deal with Chinabuye, good online shop of china for cool gadgets with wide range of branded products. Its moreover very reasonable rates compared to others like aliexpress. Best quality and service.

I personally haven't had any issues with Worldwide Brands. Some of their links may be out of date (I think they just check the companies out and may not follow through to see if they're still sticking around years later), but generally it was worth the minor investment. I happen to like how it shows you the competition for specific keywords and how it ranks your niche.
It is NOT the same as Google. I guarantee you if you use Google it will be a worse experience, and you'll deal with more issues than you would with a solid, checked resource (most of them are just link farms or don't do background checks).
I'm not as familiar with DIYtrade or globalbrands, so maybe they're someone to look into as well. It's been awhile since I've done business in this manner, so possibly take my advice with a grain of salt, as I have no plans to utilize them in another business for a few months.

Hello guys...
Has anyone had any personal experience or currently involved with worldwidebrands? I've been making my way through there site.....looking for input from anyone that has any info on this....thanks
You need to be more specific. What do you want to know? I'm a current member, mostly just for random product drop-shipping thus far (with a bulk shipping project starting December-ish). If you only want general knowledge though, I'm sure their site and a Google search will tell you all you need.
