Hey everyone,
I hate vaccines and immunizations. I have dozens of reasons to feel the way I feel about them but I don't discuss such things on a forum such as this one.
- Has anyone been able to travel without vaccines and immunizations?
- Does anyone know any natural alternatives to vaccines and immunizations?
- Are the shots required for traveling to these places? (requiring paperwork as well?)
I'm sure I'll have more questions soon. I really dislike the thought of loading myself up with shots just to explore and travel the world. I haven't been sick in years, I eat organic and healthy food, and for the most part I'm in remarkable health. In fact, I don't know personally know anyone who is as healthy as I am.
What have your experiences been with vaccines and immunizations?
Cheers,
Nick

Yes, there usually exists one effective natural alternative to vaccines. It's called getting sick. The one exception might be viruses capable of causing latent infections in the Herpesviridae family since it seems you may never get rid of such an infection by viruses with this capability but that's not much of an issue at the moment since I believe that the only vaccine out there in this group is for chickenpox.
Of course, some people might consider sickness (and the possibility of death) a bad thing. Also, some might resent the fact that you could make them sick.

Did you get a chance to read the next post down about liam75005's mini-vacation to India?
Here's his latest post:
Some news on the mini retirement here !!!
After a short stay in Mumbai (3 days) I moved with a bus to Goa, where I decided to rent a little studio for 10 days. I am leaving on wednesday going to Hampi, then Bangalore to meet some IT companies (by the way if you have reference, I want to meet web application developpers), Pondicherry and Chennai for the south of India. And then the BIIIIG train trip to go to Delhi and do the north of India from there.
I ended up having some ayurvedic massage here in Goa and it was a great experience.
Had to have a 2 days stay at a hospital because of a viral infection (first time I ever get that on a trip) but I feel a lot better now.

All I can say is get over it. Consider it a comfort challenge. It is a shot, and thousands of people get them every day.
I used to be terrified of shots. Complete mania. I broke a few bones in my hand when I was 15 and made the doctor set them with no local anesthesia. He told my mother that he had never seen someone with that much pain tolerance in his career as a doctor. I should have taken the needle.
After crashing a motorcycle in Japan when I was 19, they forced a tetanus shot into my knee cap. Being held down bleeding from road rash on my legs, arms, and feet, I couldn't stop that shot. From that point on, I realized how much of a waste being afraid of shots was.
Overcome this fear, and move on.

Check out the CDC site. If you're so against getting a shot you can still find many places that are safe for you to visit.

@cosmicaug, that's exactly how I feel. I haven't been sick in years, but I haven't been trying to hide from germs either. I've felt drowsy from time to time and I know my body just finished fighting something serious off, so I know that viruses and sickness are finding their way into me and I'm just doing a great job of beating said virus or sickness. =)
@kamakiri, you misunderstood me. I have no fear of shots or needles. Sure, they make me uncomfortable, but each time I've ever 'needed' a shot or to draw blood I had no problem finding a still point in my mind, relaxing, and getting the shot (or getting blood drawn). So, it's not fear that is preventing me from getting a vaccine or immunization.
My problem is with the contents of the shots. I've done research and learned quite a bit about what has been found inside some of the 'vaccines' they give out. Sure, plenty receive a flu vaccine without problems. But there are still plenty of stories (highly buried and hard to find) where people develop neurological disorders, muscular disorders, circulatory problems, an organ reacts badly and shuts down, or they simply die.
One story in particular is with the measles vaccine, a vaccine that has been around for a long time. Two twins, both 1.5 years old, received the shot. It was just another basic measles vaccine. Within 15 minutes they weren't breathing. Five minutes after that they were dead. That's just one of many stories I have found.
I could go on all day about this subject. I have VERY good reasons for disliking vaccines and immunizations. I am not some germaphobic, paranoid conspiracy bloke. I strongly believe in natural health. People lived for hundreds of thousands of years before these vaccines and immunizations existed and they were just fine. I do not see them as a solution, but I do see the problems they are causing.
That is why I want to avoid vaccines and immunizations. I don't want someone's little chemistry 'experiment' to fuck up my system, because these 'beneficial' shots fucked up the lives of others...or just killed them.
@Frank, thanks for sharing that! I'll keep that in mind, because I do understand that although I may have a strong immunity system I will possibly come into contact with something at some point in time along my travels.
@Alex, good idea! Thank you =)
