well, if you think you have some connections, you can try and work those. Almost every time I've gone somewhere though I've just lined up a temporary hotel, and then found something while I'm actually there. The good deals (and even average deals) are not the ones advertising on the Internet or working on SEO to get a high Google rank.

You need to search on the spot.

Get a hostel for 3 to 5 days and then you look over there. Did the same for Goa India and you can get better deals once you're in the spot. Plus you can visit the places !!!
