Hello all! I'm new - really new - just started this path last Wednesday. (gulp!)
Where can I find a non-disclosure agreement for manufacturers and distributors?

What are you really scared about that you need an NDA? If you can't patent or copyright your product, it is pretty easily copyable. If not by the people making it for you, then by the guy down the street.
Most products have a sub-five year life, and that is especially so for clothing and most retail products. With that in mind, you should already have your next product in the pipeline. That will prepare you for the people who do step in and copy you.
Establishing relationships is far more important than having an 'iron clad NDA'. If you are really concerned that your manufacturer is going to turn around and back stab your by stealing your product, that you should really do some thinking about your relationship with them. There are reputable companies out there, and this might sound harsh, but if you can't find one, it is your own fault for not doing proper due diligence.

Huh. Yep, that was pretty harsh. :) I am not afraid; this will be the 4th business I have started - the three prior were all successful; I see no reason why this one won't be. However - because of my past experience, I'm also wise enough to do what I reasonably can to protect myself. (This is my first internet-based business and I'm less than a week out from reading T4HWW).
I AM doing my due diligence which is why I'd like a non-disclosure before I begin to interview potential manufacturers and distributors - we have been advised over and over again to do so by people who have actually "been there and done that".
Secondly, we assume that once this product becomes widely available, the larger manufacturers will move in and make their own and that'll be it - fini - for the most part. So we're trying to move quickly and wisely. We don't actually intend to make billions and retire - we intend to make just enough to work a four-hour work week (unless I can find a VA to work 3.95 hours of that for me! :) )

I would definitely keep a boilerplate NDA on hand for meetings with potential suppliers, etc. You can purchase one online at Nolo Press or at one of the online legal vendors. Just modify it each time another situation arises. No need to pay a lawyer to change the party's names or product being protected.;)
Legal documents are meant to protect a relationship. She's right, though...don't spend too much time on it.
regards,
Mark

I have a different need for an NDA. I'm not producing a physical product. I simply needed a NDA to cover private information I'm sharing with folks who may be tempted to repackage it (poorly) and sell it as original.
That's why I dredged up this older thread...
