Does anyone have any recommendations on a Affiliate management program? Spending $2,500 bucks on the one Tim has listed will blow my budget. I have found several for under $100 per month but would like some feedback. Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!

What is your product? I sell an ebook through Clickbank and they manage the affiliates as well. It's $49 to get started.

I will check them out, thanks! Your input is much appreciated. We have eBooks amongst other things. We have been compiling and publishing them for other people and now we are doing the marketing ourselves.
Long story, but we outsourced everything and I had partners that ran the day to day. Pulled the plug on several business partner and businesses and am now the Lone Ranger...
Like starting over again, but dang does it feel good! Read the book in one sitting this Sunday and my mind has not stopped since. Actually gotten a lot of things in place in the past two days. What a great catalyst.

Its weird how something as simple as a book can cause such a great change in ones life.

You got that right...LOL Weird and great at the same time. But really, everyone is truly just a couple of thoughts away from living their dreams and becoming wealthy, not only monetarily, but wealthy in living and enjoying life. Very weird cool stuff indeed.
I have not been this excited and ready to go in the morning in years and it feels good! All because of some words on paper.... :)

I feel the same way about the book. I have always been the lone ranger and then wonder why I get so frustrated and boged down!
I have implemented some good change in my business (delegation, outsourcing) just so that I can focus on my muses!
Feumet - I sent you an email from the board in response to partnering up on some muses...

I agree about the book. The would have scared me off, thinking it was a get-rich-quick book, but it had been so strongly recommended by the guys who do the Internet Business Marketing podcast. So I purchased the audio book from Audible.com via Amazon. Dang! When I heard the part about outsourcing using a VA, I felt like someone had completely shifted my reality. It's a simple concept that had never dawned on me.
Now, if I could just figure out how to implement it. ;)

I would like to hear some success stories from selling click bank ebooks. It seems like a sort of scam.

I think the main reason it causes changes so well is that each chapter has a challenge/call for action. There are so many books out there that teach so much, but don't tell you to do something to get it going so for most people the knowledge goes unused.

If you (or anyone else) decides to sell products and needs an affiliate program that pays their affiliates for them shareasale (http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?B=44&U=216643&M=47) is excellent
I remember when I started my first product site a few years ago I almost choked when I saw the prices for CJ, etc. and someone told me about shareasale.
Their pricing was more than fair (I believe set up was around $200 - $300 at the time) and so was their service. It's also very well respected by affiliate marketers.
I wound up not going with them only because I didn't have the margins to offer much more than 3-4% and at the time I was new and had no stats so affiliate marketers weren't keen to sign up for my program.
Dummies - my avg. order is around $300 and it isn't unusual for me to get an $800-$1000 sale in one shot
If I ever decide to do an aff program again they are who I would go with. My current host offers an affiliate progam built it but monitoring and having to send out the checks myself would undoubtedly be a LARGE headache.

If I remember correctly doesn't sharesale charge a 20% transaction fee? I remember looking at them a while back. We tried out 6 different programs. LOL Anyway, affilitates are a must, but you still have to get your Muse up and running first. :)

Who has the largest, most comprehensive list of affiliate advertisers?
I need to find out if specific info product producers have an affiliate program and I'd rather not just go and ask them just yet. When I go on their websites, I don't see any links for an affiliate advertiser's program. I've done google searches and have just come up with a jumble of sites. I'm also a clueless newbie and don't want to end up linking to a site which will have my product blacklisted by email spamguard programs like those on Yahoo & Gmail.

Check out JROX affiliate manager software (http://jam.jrox.com/). You pay once and you install it on your server. If you're not techy you can get someone on elance to do it for you cheap. You can check download and try it for free. Once you enter your email address they will send you a 50% discount so you only pay $150 for the entire software.

Google the product producer name and "affiliate" or "partner" or "affiliate program" and their affiliate page should pop up. For example google brainquicken "affiliate program" (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=brainquicken+%22affiliate+program%22&btnG=Google+Search)and #10 on the 1st page is Tim's affiliate signup page for his pills.

Thanks Webzu,
Both of those hints are going on my personal 4HWW FAQ page that I've established on my computer. I'm not quite in a postion to use them all yet, but I will be.

Found the mother load solution for Affililiates. Jrox is good but a bit technical. there are other cheaper faster ways to do this. Will post by Tuesday!

If you get a yahoo store, it includes an affiliate manager for the products you sell on it.

How successful are these affiliate programs? And how do you know they wont jeopardize your brand image by spamming people? And what are people thoughts about the affiliate program he uses and recommends... www.myaffiliateprogram.com
Kind of a tangent but...are there a way to get freelance salespeople (like affiliates) in the real world, to try and get distribution in stores in cities you may not have the funds to travel to?

Affiliate programs are very important in my opinion. I am a bit biased since I worked as an affiliate manager for a couple years. :)
Tim's approach is the best concentrate on your super affiliates. Of the affiliate program I worked with it was a handful of affiliates that delivered the goods vs the thousands of affiliates in the program. I would say 90% of the affiliates never did much of anything in way of bringing in traffic. But the super affiliates delivered a lot of traffic that converted nicely. That is traffic we might never have seen so it was well worth paying them 30% commissions. If they don't produce you're not out anything.
They're promoting your brand so it shouldn't dilute your brand unless you're offering a PLR type product. Spamming is a concern but you have it very clear in your terms. They spam, they're kicked off the program and forfeit all commissions they might have coming their way.
MyAP is the leading program out there but it's very expensive. You have to pay several thousand to have integrated plus their on going fees. There are other more affordable options. 1shopping cart has an affiliate program module, if you use clickbank to sell your info product you have access to their affiliate program feature plus there other options like the JROX software I've posted about before. I would think MyAP would be overkill for most of our needs.

i believe it does say 20% of the transaction fee but the transaction fee is defined as the amount youre paying to your affiliate.
