I'm curious about the example of Johanna in the book. Her test website is giving away the top ten tips. However, Tim specifically states that the test site should attract buyers not just freebie trollers by not giving anything for free. Why then did his example of Johanna have a free top ten tips? Does getting emails justify the rule? Couldn't she have sold her top ten tips?

the way she structured the site was once she got the person to click on the buy button, it took her to a landing page that told the buyer she was out of stock and offered to send the free 10 tips and email when the product was back in stock. So it was considered a sale because they clicked on the buy button and then provided an email address.
