Got the first set of concepts back on my store. My company eight fold trading is going to specialize in internet retail of pro audio equipment. Please wikipedia the eight fold path to see by which the ways we shall run our company.
I have contacted a designer and they provided me with 5 concepts to consider, I have unlimted concepts and revisions so let me know truthfully which is your favorite and why, then which is your least fav an why

Hi,
I would say that the first one looks better, I guess it looks more fashionable in a web 2.0 bubble sense....
The last one on the other end, is original but comes off as too strong....
Now those are only my first impressions and I'm not a designer so....

Hi jpstephans
not sure that I like any of them - none of them seem to relate to audio equipment. #2 seems to suggest more of a nautical theme. Can I offer a couple of selection criteria?
1. How is the logo going to look when scaled down to, say, business card size? Will the text still be readable?
2. How will the logo look in black and white? I.e. when printed out or faxed. Is there enough contrast to be still recognisable? Re #01, will the 'fold' part still be readable?
Just think of all the different ways and situations that your logo may be used and think whether there's potential for loss of impact
Good job for making progress on your muse!

Ok thanks for all the feedback!
Yea so far I like 1, 4 and 3....
great suggestions to ask the design company.... I get unlimited concepts and revisions so its no big deal, I think this is a good start at the very least...
A couple things in response to your feedback...I didnt want it pro audio related because then I am pidgeonholing my money and my logo to only work for this muse. I specifically said make it neutral so I can use it for other projects if I decide this one fails.
Anymore feedback, trying to get as much as I can before revisions

I like #1, but it doesn't scream audio equip. I think #5 is closer. Would help to see it on a webpage though :) I think they are good!

Hi There
I create logos so here is my professional 4cents worth...defintely like the first one straight off, its clear and simple...although did make me think of Limewire. I feel the fold in the middle is too light ( I feel as though is unfinished or washed out or somehting...not impressions I would want to portray) and would request seeing a few variations of colour and tone for just this one version.
Using a Muse...how many buinsess cards, faxes and letters heads get given out? I have been a freelance cartoonist for several years now and have given up all three
due to relying on the web only for invoices, cards ,brochures etc. ALTHOUGH does creatinga successful muse require such things down the track ?

#3 is my pick but I would lose the box background

Hi
1 jumps out at me initially, but I agree that when scaling down, the text may become too thin to read
I also like number 3 but only if you loose the box around it
From a branding point of view, I'd forget about making the logo relate to audio equipment at all
I know I have never gone to an online store and just as I was about to make a purchase, thought to myself "Wait a minute, but the logo doesn't relate to [product I'm buying], I'll keep looking elsewhere on the net"
Leaving the branding as your company name instead of relating it to your inital product line will leave you open to use the same branding for your future muses and thus save you money

Quick question for you. How did you approach the distributors into being your drop shipper? I have found my Muse but I am stuck at finding a drop shipper. Did you just cold call everyone in your muse field until you got lucky or did you have a special way of approaching it?
By the way I prefer logo number 3. I think it have more of a tech look to it. Number for me looks like a health food store logo.

I like #1 best, but would recommend that you use almost any other color than the lime green. Maybe some of the blue shades you use in #3 & #4.
#4 reminds me of the "spark of insight" logo of Agilent Technologies.

My vote:
Logo #1, or a #4 with the text to the right, perhaps all lowercase . . .see how it looks.
Actually - now I'm editing this thread - I think I got it . . . #1 and #3 combo - use the blue icon with lowercase text to the right and fold in blue or grey or bold. That is my first choice.

Which logo is everyones favorites? I took the criticism that everyone gave me and went back to the designers and this is what they got me....
Opinions are crucial.....

Here are the final three selections, anyone got preferences on the font weights and color choices?
Thanks

Who did your design? I'm currently researching and comparing logo design firms.

Hope I am posting correctly. Please forgive my newbieness.
I really like 1, 3, and 15. They're 100% professional-looking, easy on the eye while still engaging, and they convey a sense of trust and calm.
Much luck to ya!

I hired them before, and had a very bad experience. Your logos look great! I hired them to do a brochure, and it was not an easy process. Part was that their English wasn't adequate, but the designs were awful. Finally, I spoke w/ eLance who said I could terminate my contract w/o owing any money, and I did.
I think this illustrates one of the problems with outsourcing companies. You might get lucky w/ a great person on the team, or you might get the incompetent one. It's a gamble!

Hello!
I’ve used The NetMen Corp for a few graphic design projects as well. They’ve always met my expectations and often go above and beyond. They’re really creative and though inexpensive to begin with often offer deals if you are looking for a break on logo design, web design, whatever.
Cheers!
Paula.
