Hey guys, I am very excited to announce that I signed up for a 3 month Mixed Martial Arts camp in Thailand. I love watching the UFC and can't think of a better way to lose weight and get in awesome shape.

Using the 4-hour workweek I have Eliminated all the necessaries from my life. Living in LA I spend $1,000-$1,500 not including rent, just eating and going out.

In Thailand I can spend less than $1,000 including Rent, MMA, Yoga, and Muay Thai classes six days a week and food.

If anyone wants to join me, I'll be at a place called MMA Phuket, their website is www.TigerMuayThai.com

I'll be working on my next muse while i'm out there, compiling a few sources into a new eBook that I plan on marketing. If nothing else, I'll come back in great shape, with a new skill, and de-stressed.

Alright everything is confirmed! I'm flying on to Bangkok then hoping on an Air Asia flight down to Phuket this Sunday!

October 5th - January 3rd 2011 I'll be living at TMT and hopefully by the end of it i'll be in some serious shape.

Here's a breakdown for living costs there for those who are curious:

Thai Baht to US Dollar Conversion 30 to 1 (I just use my ATM card while i'm there)

1 month of Unlimited Training including Yoga, MMA, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Western Boxing, Kettle Bells, and Weight Lifting. 9,000 baht ($272)

Which is very expensive, double the price as a normal program in the US but it's worth it for two reasons: a. You'll be training at least twice as much and as often, maybe more. b. The rent and cost of living are so low that it off-sets it.

1 month of rent on camp in a "Fighters Room."
Private room, with shared bath, plus a fridge, TV, DVD player, fully furnished. 5,000 baht ($152)

Food Costs:
If you sign up for the Tiger Grill meal plan or if you walk down the street to the local Thai restaurants an average meal will be $3 per meal. Snacks, fruit, and water are very cheap as well. ($360 a month avg. for 4 meals a day)

Massages:
The are a couple Spas and massage places around the camp, the basic massage is $8 an hour, and you can spend all day at a Spa for less than $20. ($108 a month for 3 massages a week)

Total cost of living:
$892 a month!

Let me know if any of you guys decide to come! I'll be there for the next three months!

Hey Johnny2029,

Came across your post while searching ebooks on the forum! I'm actually training at Tiger camp and have been for the past 2 months. Here until Christmas if your still around?

Sounds great, we've recently bought a house in Thailand in order to spend more time there. Living expenses is next to nothing (compared to Denmark where we live most of the time).

We were there in September and vi paid somehing like $1.5 for meal (like chicken with cashew nuts and rice) in the nearest restaurant (our home is not on Phuket where tourism is keeping the prices rather high - but in Hua Hin).

I've got a long list of places to go, but when I finally get around to Thailand I want to do something almost exactly like what you are doing. Sounds fantastic.

How reliable is the Internet connection there? Would love to plan a trip, but depend on the Web for coursework.

Regarding internet connection.

We are paying for a 6mbit connection in our house, but I only think we are currently gettings something like 1.5mbit. But plenty fast unless you are watching alot of videos online.
