Hi. Any good books (besides 4HWW) that deal with setting up an internet retail website? Something that deals with manufacturers, dropshipping, PPC, shopping carts, etc?

Any ideas? Thanks.

There are thousands of book dealing with the subjects you mentioned. They aren't going to give you a business that profits $7 mil a year on a silver platter though if that is what you are looking for. You could end up like the these Chinese bankers http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/6938819.stm who actually stole $7mil to buy lottery tickets, blowing all the money on a lottery that would have paid out less.

Actually starting a business, any business good or bad, is a much more concrete step in gaining financial independence. If you keep just looking for ways on how to do it, you will end up spending hundreds of dollars on books and thousands on e-books and online reports, whereas if you had use that money to make a web site/internet business (even an unprofitable one) you would be better off for the experience value alone.

I highly recommend www.thirtydaychallenge.com. They don't go into shopping carts or drop shipping but they will give you a real solid foundation that teaches you how internet marketing works and every bit of what they teach is free.

Thanks for the tips.

And kamakiri. I find books to be valuable in terms of saving time and money. I'd rather spend $200 on books written by people who've "been there, done that", than to save the money, learn nothing at all, and risk wasting even more time and money making costly mistakes, and not knowing how to fix them.

I don't think you should keep your head buried in a book. But I do believe you should have SOME form of education from those with experience before you take the plunge. Wouldn't you agree?
