I was skeptical but I decided to give Doba a try. Since I'll be getting:

-A website built
-A marketing coach
-Millions of products to sell

All for just 29.99 per month. What's there to lose? LOL BTW I'm not getting paid to say this.

Doba also makes money off of every sale you make so they WANT you to be successful. For a noob like me, I think it's perfect. Especially since my goal is just $1000 per month.

But I have a question. I would rather make 1000 per month consistently then 10,000 per month after a build up. So do you think I should listen to my marketing coach or Tim Ferriss?

For those of us who don't know... what is Doba? What kind of commitment did it take from you to get setup with them (money and time)?

Doba is a drop shipper and there's a monthly fee that you have to pay. But I've heard good reviews about them.

I don't like the idea of paying for the privelege of selling someone else's product all the while being coached (told what to do) by the same said person/group and being confined to their website developers.

If their products were so strong and marketing methods so effective, they wouldn't need to turn a profit by franchising and going low margin/high volume centric.

I'd wager this company's largest revenue comes from the monthly 29.99 dues.

That has always been my reaction to drop shipping.

As long as they're not spamming you and it has a good results on your business then there's nothing wrong with that.

Well drop shippers are usually middle men. But sometimes it makes sense to go drop shipping at first and then to switch to wholesale one you get some traction. Most wholesalers that provide low cost items require you to buy in bulk which makes drop shipping more feasible at certain times. But it depends on the product.

I first heard about doba after reading this forum thread. I did a search on what other people said on this 4HWW's forum and on the Web. The general opinion I got is that, don't expect money to roll in once you create a doba online store. There is a lot of competition out there, especially on Ebay & there is a high probability of failure than success (unless you are lucky to tap a very niche market that nobody has thought of).

However, the feedback that really bothered me is the complaints people have on Doba. Check it out - - > http://www.ripoffreport.com/Search/doba.aspx

Thanks for the replys.

So I checked out http://www.ripoffreport.com/auction-liquidators/wholesale-marketer-d/wholesale-marketer-doba-whole-4a736.htm

and I don't see what could have bothered you. It seems to me that most people who complain about it just didn't put the work in. Thoughts?
