What i mean, is how do i find the 'true' ways to get in touch with a celebrity. I have an apparel company that i am launching with a partner of mine, and would really like to have some paparazzi take some shots of a well-known celeb in our gear. Can anyone direct me in the steps that i should take to do so? Thanks

One way is to get in with the companies that provide "swag bags" for celebrity events. You have to provide free merchandise.

One of my clients did this, and part of the deal at one event was that she received photos of the celebs with her products. In others, they just give you permission to say that the celebrity uses your products.

Here is one place where companies looking for swag post:

 I have no income and only 200 in cash and shrinking and 300 in credit. I read 4hww in search of how my wife and I could earn something and not have to work for anyone and now we are giving it a try. Namely we want to set up our own websites offering quality products and services to clients. We've got some ideas and have been consulting with score to get advice. I am reading this forum in full also. All tips especially tech related ones and links would be appreciated at this point as we are about to set up shop.
What are the best websites, forums, books, newsgroups, magazines, clubs to join, etc.?

Thank you wild soul. If anything it is a start in the right direction.

A little bit of brain-lag got in the way, but I found this link for you in my internet favorites. I forget who told me about it, but it was from someone I trust.

Please do me a favor, if you don't mind, and let me know if that celebrity site is any good or not. I'm curious.

he also lists
www.CelebBrokers.com and www.CelebrityEndorsement.com

Hi all. I just read a killer article about this exact topic. I have permission from the author. (Let me know if posting it is against any forum rules)

Article follows:

Dear Michael Masterson: "How do we get a billion-dollar company to do business with us?"

"Let me start by thanking you and the Early to Rise team. I want you to know that even down here in Johannesburg, South Africa, the Early to Rise (though more like a mid-day pick-me-up because of the time difference) newsletter is changing lives. I am forever recommending it to my friends, because the information available in these newsletters is absolutely priceless.

"I have recently started a new business that offers top-quality and unique services that I believe could add value to a couple of big companies out there. One such company in the oil industry currently has a market share of 18 percent and we believe that our product could help them cross over to 20 percent (or perhaps even 25 percent) in the next year. However, seeing that we are a small start-up company (with high potential), we are not sure how best to approach them.

"So how do we get a billion-dollar company to take notice and do business with us? Please assist."

Dear AK,

Because your question is vague, I can give you only the following vague advice.

If your product is as good as you think it is, you shouldn't have too much trouble making a deal. Billion-dollar companies like to increase their profits just as much as million-dollar companies do. All you have to do is start asking "Who can I speak to about ABC?" - and keep asking until you get to the right person.

Once you know who to speak to - and that person will be the executive whose division is likely to profit from your product - try to make the relationship personal. Find out something about him - what his hobbies are, for example - and then send him something that relates to that. Go out of your way to befriend him, even if it borders on being a pest. Most people in such positions are guarded about their time, so he'll likely put you off at first. But if you keep pushing, he'll eventually give in and give you 10 minutes to make a presentation.

You will only have 10 minutes, so make it count. Create a sales presentation that emphasizes all the benefits his company will get from your product, and practice that presentation until it is perfect.

The combination of the goodwill you've created by making the relationship personal and a perfect presentation will land you a deal.
