Hello all!

Big fan of the 4hww, been actually using it as a business plan for a few years now!

Wanted to share some of my successes, and things i've learned through the ups and downs of the process.

I currently run a small web design company called Vezign (vezign.com (http://www.vezign.com)), this is my 'day job' even though I run it on the principles of the 4hww, Its still not automated to the point that I can just walk away... not yet anyways.

BUT through that business I've been helping other people create their muse, namely people who aren't as computer savvy as they may like to be- and need some help along the way!

I'd like to relate a story of one of my clients, the things that are working for him and what we've had to re-evaluate.

Case Study:

GoDrRob.com (http://www.godrrob.com) is a site that I created with a client that wanted to generate content from his ideas (his muse). Basically he came up with an alternative workout to the p90x program that's very popular and has been only charging $19.95 for it.

He wrote an eBook as suggested in the 4hww and, with my help, created a site that fully integrates the book and an online workout program (Videos, forums, blog, ect). Basically making it more then a site that just sells books, but a site that integrates the reader into a work out program that they access online.

This creates a 'customer loop' that will bring the client back to the site over and over again because it has value (The training videos)- for the customer. And as such, we can now start investigating new products and services the customer might be interested in.

Things that worked:
- SEO was worth the money, optimizing the site for organic search results has brought a lot of sales.
- Useful free content, this has brought many potential clients to the site, and has served as a way for them to judge the site based on content.
- "Soft sale approach", by avoiding a direct sale of the product (Ex. BUY TODAY BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T YOU WONT BE SPECIAL!) has proved to be effective, its saved us from looking like an affiliate company.

Things that didnt work so well.
- PPC seems to not be that cost effective at the moment, we are having issue's with the customers who follow the ads... It's still an effective method for getting people to the site, but for the cost Organic Search results are a much better investment.
- Facebook groups - Facebook is a great way to connect to people, but unless you provide a unique information set, different form your website, it turns out that most people might become a fan of the site and never visit it again. Not to say we won't utilize this, but its been blown out of proportion I think.

Just wanted to share some thoughts on this subject- good luck with your muses! If you need any help developing your website or creating a roadmap for your product online; feel free to contact me!
