Creating a not to do list

I need to make a list in a single cell.
For example entering the following three names each on its own line (not wrapping) in a single cell:
John
Julie
Jane
I know there is a keyboard shortcut to do this-- sort of the equivalent of "Enter" in MS Word but I can't remember what it is.

Hope you've found the answer by now...but think you're talking about a simple Shift+Enter
